SPH’s industrial-based agriculture practice includes the infrastructure and also machinery required for agri-value chains from the farm gate, along the agribusiness supply chain, to the end processors. Our professionals have extensive experience in assisting participants — from stakeholders of small to medium domestic agribusinesses to large multi-national organizations — to address financing needs for inputs, processing and infrastructure.
SPH understands the drivers that impact the industry from the farm gate, along the supply chain, to the end processors:-
Agriculture Inputs; Defined as products permitted for use in organic farming. These include Feedstuffs, Fertilizers and Permitted plant protection products. Our agriculture inputs financing programs focus on farms above 5,000 Ha.
Agriculture Processing; Processing of outputs adds value to agriculture and animal products by packing and preserving farm produce so that products can be exported. These include oil palm processing, milling plants and agro-processing.
Agriculture Infrastructure; Our Agricultural Infrastructure objective is to provide resources for increasing farmers’ incomes using farm-enabling infrastructures such as agro storage, processing, irrigation and power.
SPH’s core Service Offering for Industrial based Agriculture include:-
Project Appraisal: SPH uses state-of-the-art analysis and modelling tools to assess market demand and perform detailed evaluations of cost estimates of proposed investments and end up with a business case.
Transaction Advisory; SPH transaction advisory services are embedded in our project finance and industry expertise, our commitment to excellence, our creativity, and our ability to deliver results. We assist clients in optimizing their capital structure and ensure sufficient liquidity to allow the Industrial Agriculture business units to operate freely. We do this by devising innovative structured financing solutions that enable clients to capture new investment and business opportunities or support growing operational needs. We act to create a financial profile consistent with corporate aims and objectives.
Development Management; Development management is a specialist service where we advise, lead and manage all aspects of industrial agricultural development, from inception, acquisition and design, through planning, financing and fundraising, commercial issues, and implementation.
