Background
Amb. Muzungu Diakolo Docta is the Country Director and Chairman of D.R.C., SPH in the Democratic Republic of Congo (“D.R.C.”), responsible for overseeing the overall SPH DRC’s performance of the Board, ensuring its effectiveness in all aspects of its role and setting a local Board agenda, which is primarily focused on strategy, performance, value creation and accountability, ensuring that issues relevant to these areas are reserved for Board decision in line with the holding/group’s mission. He is fluent in French, English, Lingala and Kikongo languages.
Amb. Docta is the First Embassy Counselor and Head of the Economic Unit (Since March 2010) at the Embassy of D.R.C. in the Republic of South Africa. Amb. Docta also worked with G.T.Z. Consultant within the framework of the “Responsible Investments of South-Eastern Companies” Project Africans in the Democratic Republic of Congo”; Consultant on behalf of the African Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Agriculture and Trades – UACCIAM; Academic Assistant or Facilitator at the University of Pretoria/ Mamelodi Campus; Academic Assistant or Facilitator at VUDEC (Vista University Distance Education); Head of Projects and Funding for the N.G.O. “Action Dorcas”; Academic Assistant and Secretary of the Faculty Council at William Booth University in Kinshasa; and Expert at the Economic and Social Policy Committee – CEPS
Amb. Docta holds a Masters’s Degree in Economics: Trade and Investment Option with the University of Pretoria; Degree in Economics and Management with Kongo University (Formerly Bas-Zaire University – UNIBAZ); State Diploma (B.A.C.) – Commercial and Administration Option with Saint Raphael College; Diploma in International Trade Modeling “GTAP” with the University of Pretoria; Seminar/Diploma in Energy Planning Policy Dialogue in Africa with African Institute for Economic Development and United Nations (IDEP) In Collaboration With AUDA – NEPAD; Diploma in Advanced Project Management with DBSA – Pan African Capacity Building Program (PACBP); Currently PhD Doctoral Candidate In Business Diplomacy at The Center for Diplomatic and Strategic Studies (CEDS) In Paris/France.
