Background
Mr Philip Sevenster is the Director, Technical Services at SPH, in charge of technical packaging proposals and technical project audits. Mr Sevenster’s area of specialization is Project Management, Strategic and Township Planning, Development and Housing Management (SSubsidized Social & Low-Cost Housing). Mr Sevenster has spent his entire career in Town & Regional Planning. He has vast experience in property development, construction and related industries with specific reference to residential and mixed-use development projects. Mr Sevenster has also been involved in housing development projects on a planning and implementation (Project Management) level, including financial modelling.

Mr Sevenster is a former Chairman of Highlands Business Forum and Vice Chairman of the AHI (Free State) South Africa. Mr Sevenster launched his career in Town and Regional Planning at Free State Provincial Administration (Free State Provincial Government) in 1992 and is registered as a Town and Regional Planner with the South African Council for Town and Regional Planners and South African Institute for Planners since 1995. Mr Sevenster’s professional Memberships include:- Registered in terms of Act 19 of 1984 as Town and Regional Planner at the S.A. Council for Town and Regional Planners since 23 May 1995 (Pr. Pln. A/834/1995); Registered as Corporate Member of the S.A. Institute of Town and Regional Planners since 1992 and with the S.A. Planning Institute since 1996, and Served on the Branch Management of the Free State and Northern Cape Branch of the S.A. Institute of Town and Regional Planners.
Mr Sevenster holds a Master’s Degree in Town and Regional Planning (MTRP) from Free State University and Baccalaureus Artium (Geography).
