Background
Prof. Martinho Mateus Da Silva is the Director of International E.P.C. Sales Lead with SPH He oversees the development and growth of profitable new international partnerships and businesses and Leverage business networks to generate new business leads for the company while cultivating key relationships to support sustainable growth in SPH’s international capacity and commercial and operational lines. Prof. Da Silva strengthens and grows SPH’s client project portfolio and international partner relationships and maintains surveillance on international market conditions, emerging opportunities, and risks while ensuring that matching professional support partners are in good standing with the company. He is tasked with building key international customer and partner relationships, identifying, negotiating, and closing business deals in line with the objectives of SPH’s portfolio projects. Prof. Da Silva is presently a Manager with Vox Mundi in the Treasure of Papal Basilica in the Vatican City, Founder and former President of the Mozambican Community in Italy. Active Professor with Institute of Education and Development and Fluent in English, Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, French, Shona, Xibarue and Sena languages.
Prof. Da Silva’s other professional previous experiences include:- Manager of the Pontifical Delegation in Mozambique during the visit of Pope Francis in September 2019; Head of the International Foreign Delegation Confinpresa Business “Italian Confederation of Enterprises”; General Manager for Africa “Italy Association in the World”; Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs “Farnesina”. International conferences for development cooperation with African countries in 2018; Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation in Mozambique in 2017 conducting seminars in Maputo for the 15 Mozambican communities abroad to improve international cooperation; Founder and first president of the Mozambican community in Italy between 2016 and 2018; Internship in United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) in Geneva, Switzerland in 2008; Managing Security affairs in St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican City between 2005 and 2012; Council of the European Union-Brussels European Commission, Brussels, Belgium, European Institute of Public Administration (EIPA), Maastricht, the Netherlands in 2011; Founder, President, and Member of Ecos of Africa. (Mozambique Social Development Association) between 2011 and 2016; Assistant Manager in the field of work and the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) -Council for Refugees, Rome; Crew Manager with Save the Children Italy ONLUS, Rome between 2009 and 2010; and Portuguese language teacher with Gutemberg Maputo High School- Mozambique in 2004.
Prof. Da Silva holds a PhD in Philosophy (Thesis on Democracy in Africa, focusing on Mozambique), a Master’s Degree in “International Relations and Diplomacy (Thesis on “Humanitarian Aid and International Cooperation for Development), a Master’s Degree in Political Science, International Cooperation for Development (Thesis on the international protection of human rights), Master’s Degree in “International Relations and Diplomacy (Thesis on “International Protection of Human Rights”), Honors Degree in “Political Philosophy”. (Thesis on the “concept of democracy in Africa today”), Bachelor in Theology and Bachelor’s degree in “Philosophy”.
